Historically marshmallow was used as a remedy for coughs, sore throats, digestive issues & more. When marshmallow root & water meet, it makes a gelatinous slime that's beneficial to our bodies. Combining that with soothing health benefits of honey with the mallow made the perfect home remedy. Adding gelatine to make fluffy clouds of pleasure.
When marshmallows became commercial they started adding all sorts of nonsense & replacing the natural goodness.
